What is Southbank Green Print Centre?

Southbank Green Print Centre is a state of the art digital print shop servicing Southbank Institute of Technology’s staff and students. The print centre offers a full range of printing, copying, binding and laminating options. It is located on the ground floor of F Block on the Education Pathway.

How can I order print jobs from the print centre?

You can order and pay over the counter at the print shop or online using Southbank Green Print Centre’s online store front. You will need to register in order to use the online print service.

Can I access the online store from home?

Yes, you can access Southbank Green Print Centre’s online store from any internet connected computer.

Note: When submitting a “Rush Job” you should ensure that your nominated approver is aware of the jobs urgency. All jobs must be approved before the print centre will print them.

How can I register to use the Southbank Green Print Centre online store?

Can I create my own username?

No. You must register using your Southbank Institute of Technology student ID number as your username.

Does the print centre offer a delivery service?

No. All student print jobs must be collected from Southbank Green Print Centre. You will need to present your student ID in order to collect your job.

How can I pay?

Southbank Green Print Centre’s online store accepts Mastercard, Visa or Paypal. When purchasing goods over the counter at Southbank Green Print Centre you can pay using Mastercard, Visa, EFTPOS or cash. Jobs ordered online must be paid when the order is placed.

As a student do I have to use Southbank Green Print Centre for my printing and copying?

No. You are not required to use Southbank Green Print Centre for your printing or copying.

Does the online store give me the cost of what I am ordering?

The new Southbank Green Print Centre online store will give you an itemised cost of your job as you build it. When you change an option, for example, changing from black and white to colour printing, you can use the Update Price link next to the price to easily recalculate the cost of the job. At the review section, you can also see a full breakdown of the costs of the job and then choose to edit and change it as required.

I’ve forgotten my password. What do I do?

On the log in screen click on Forgot your password? You will be prompted to answer your security question (which you should have set at first login). When you give the correct answer, you will receive an email containing a temporary password. Please reset your password once you have logged in successfully.

Can I print in colour or is only black and white printing available?

Southbank Green Print Centre is a full service print facility offering black and white and colour printing as well as an extensive range of paper stocks and finishing options.

What binding options can I choose from?

Southbank Green Print Centre offers a wide range of binding options including,

Saddle stitching (Folded booklets up to 120 pages with a stapled spine)
Comb binding up to A3 landscape size
Ring binding up to A3 landscape
Thermal binding
Perfect binding

What paper sizes can I choose from?

Southbank Green Print Centre can print from business card size to SRA3 poster size

Can I get cardboard (heavier stock) covers for the front and back pages?

Southbank Green Print Centre will offer cardboard (cardstock) and plastic cover stocks in conjunction with binding solutions including saddle stitching, ring, comb and thermal binding.

Am I restricted in file format that we can use – e.g.: PDF, Word, Excel, JPEG pictures?

Southbank Green Print Centre’s online store supports more than 250 different file formats. This includes files created by all of the major software companies and design suites. All the common file formats are supported to be uploaded and converted to PDF including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe PDF (no conversion required) and JPEGs etc. When uploading a file there is a link that will display the 250 plus file formats supported.
