Enrolment Issues

When considering enrolling at Southbank Institute, you may have a number of concerns regarding enrolment procedures and issues. This section discusses the types of enrolment issues that might apply to you.

Fees

Enrolment fees are listed on Student Self Service. You will need the web enrolment form provided in your enrolment pack to access these prices. If you fall within one of the exempt categories, these fees will appear on you enrolment form. Full fees apply unless you are eligible for a concession.

The majority of fees are included in the module prices on Student Self Service or your enrolment selection form(s). However, you may need to pay for extra course requirements (e.g. uniforms/textbooks). Details of these are listed in your uniform/equipment list and/or booklist.

Payment Plans/Time to pay plans are available for students who may require payment assistance. Conditions apply.

Fee sponsorship

If your employer or sponsor is paying fees on your behalf, you can include their payment with your enrolment forms (online enrolments are not available for sponsored students).

If your employer or sponsor wants to be invoiced, you are exempt from enrolling online. Please contact your Faculty for an Enrolment Selection Form, which you must attach to a Purchase Order or letter of Authority/Request to Invoice on business letterhead paper. This will officially advise the Institute of the sponsor's intent to pay your fees. This can be submitted to the Southbank Institute via any of the methods listed for exempt students.

Annual Fee Increase

At the end of each calendar year, TAFE Queensland expects a fee increase based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI). If your fees are paid by 31 December in that same year then you will pay the current rate. However, if you pay after 1 January you then pay the higher fee rate.
