Dynamic student living in the heart of Southbank
Southbank Institute of Technology will become Queensland’s first vocational educational and training provider where students can live next door to the Institute’s campus precinct from February 2010.
More than 700 students can take advantage of the Institute’s prime location, unrivalled proximity to public transport and the Brisbane CBD and live just moments from the Institute’s state-of the-art training facilities in the vibrant new community, Urbanest South Bank.
The premium student accommodation is located at 60 Tribune Street, South Brisbane and is taking bookings for 2010 now.
Students can choose from fully furnished studio or shared apartments with up to six bedrooms. Every bedroom has its own ensuite, lockable entry, private study facilities and air conditioning and the all-inclusive rent covers broadband internet access, contents insurance and all utility bills.
Communal areas include landscaped courtyards with barbecues and an entertainment lounge with cable television and pool tables. Tenant security will be paramount with an around-the-clock manned reception.
Southbank Institute of Technology Acting Chief Executive Officer Robyn Tyler is pleased that the Institute has achieved another Queensland ‘first’.
“This accommodation is an exciting addition to our campus precinct that can only make Southbank Institute more attractive to prospective students, particularly those from interstate, regional areas or overseas,” Ms Tyler said.

Prospective tenants can walk through a display apartment showcasing the accommodation facilities at Urbanest South Bank, 60 Tribune Street, South Brisbane.
The accommodation is owned and operated by Urbanest, a commercial entity separate to Southbank Institute of Technology.
