Program CRICOS Number:066087J

TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is rapidly growing international industry with a high demand around the world for qualified English teachers. Are you a qualified English language teacher who wants the knowledge and skills to progress within the industry and improve your English at the same time?

A Vocational Graduate Diploma is a high level post graduate qualification between a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree, with a focus on applying highly specialised teaching knowledge to develop practical techniques to use both in your own classroom and in helping to manage an English language school.

Our Vocational Graduate Diploma of TESOL and English Language Development program provides you with highly specialised skills and knowledge in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages to help you to advance within the TESOL industry overseas. It gives you the practical skills to effectively develop TESOL curricula or other workplace projects, use advanced language analysis skills in preparing English language students for language assessment and conduct action research into your own TESOL practice. It includes a teaching practice unit where you teach a class of English language students while researching the effectiveness of your teaching techniques. As a post graduate student studying at a high academic level, you will do a significant amount of independent study in your own time and the timetabled classes are organised to help you achieve this.

Upon successful completion of the program you will be able to teach English language courses across a range of sectors overseas including:
